Physical realitySuspension is engineered for vertical loads and is comparatively weak laterally, which is exactly the direction a kerb strike or a side impact loads it. If a mounting point has moved, every component can be undamaged and the geometry still be out, because the geometry is defined by where the parts are held, not by the parts themselves.

Safety riskHigh until measured. Handling faults after a collision tend to show up under emergency braking or in a swerve, which is the worst moment to discover them.

Required fixA measured four-wheel alignment against the manufacturer's figures, plus inspection of the mounting points and the load path. Keep the printout — it is also the record if the repair is disputed.
