Privacy Policy

In short: we collect what we need to book your vehicle in and call you back. We don't track you, we don't advertise to you, and we don't sell, rent or share your details with anyone. This policy is written under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Who we are

What we collect, and only when you send a booking request

Nothing is collected simply from visiting this website. Information reaches us only when you choose to submit a booking request, and only these fields:

• Your name and phone number — required, because a booking request is confirmed by us phoning you back.
• Your email address and suburb — optional. Leave them blank and the booking still works.
• Your vehicle — make, model and optionally year.
• What you told us about the problem — the service you chose, the symptoms you selected, whether the vehicle can be driven, whether you need it collected, and the day you'd prefer.

What we do with it

We use it to review your request, call you to agree a time, carry out the work, and keep a record of what was done on your vehicle. That is the whole purpose. We do not use your details for marketing, we do not send newsletters, and we do not build a profile of you.

If you gave us an email address, the system may email you about your own booking — confirmation that we received the request, that your vehicle is ready, or that the job is complete. Nothing else is sent to that address.

What we do not do

• No tracking. These public pages set no cookies and store nothing on your device. There are no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party scripts of any kind — every part of this page is served by us. (Our staff booking system, which customers do not use, keeps a sign-in token on the staff member's own computer.)
• No sharing. Your details are not sold, rented, or given to any other company, marketing list or data broker.
• No WhatsApp or messaging without you. We contact you on the number you gave us, about the job you asked us to do.

Who can see it

Only RM staff, after signing in to a password-protected system. Booking details are not publicly visible and are not exposed to anyone browsing this site. The system keeps an internal record of which staff member changed what, so access is accountable.

Where it is kept

On a server hosted in Johannesburg, South Africa. Your information does not leave the country. The connection between your browser and this site is encrypted (HTTPS), and backups of the database are taken automatically.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and repair records while you are a customer and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we can refer back to work previously done on your vehicle. If you would like your details removed sooner, ask us — see below.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may, at any time and free of charge:

• ask what personal information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
• ask us to delete your details, where we are not required to keep them;
• object to how we are using your information.

Phone 079 801 1668 and we will deal with it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa if you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information.

If something goes wrong

If your personal information were ever accessed by someone who should not have it, we are required to tell you and to notify the Information Regulator, and we will.

Changes to this policy

If how we handle your information changes, this page changes with it. It was last reviewed in August 2026.
